Dear SC Club for Growth Supporter,
We hope this email finds you well. It’s been a busy few months in Columbia! SC Club for Growth continues its work as our state’s #1 watchdog for taxpayers and small businesses.
Below you can find updates on a variety of fronts:
1. SC Club for Growth Announces 2009 Legislative Goals
Our recent letter to South Carolina legislators outlines SC Club for Growth’s positions on the major issues facing South Carolina. Through the input of our board members and others, we believe these positions best represent the goals of reform-minded, fiscal conservatives in our state and hope you agree. Please click here to view the letter!
If you have questions or thoughts in a certain policy area, please let us know.
2. In Case You Missed It – SC Club for Growth Chairman’s Op-Ed in The State
SC Club for Growth Chairman Chad Walldorf wrote recently in The State that “Gov. Mark Sanford has consistently been a lone voice urging us to pay down our debts and avoid unsustainable increases in government programs.” We hope you’ll take the time to read his insightful op-ed. Click here to read.

4. Renew Your Club PAC Membership for 2009
Real change is afoot in Columbia and we need your help in keeping the momentum. Will you consider renewing your SC Club for Growth PAC membership for 2009?
We again ask for your support because your collective investments are making a real difference in electing strong fiscal conservatives. In the past two election cycles, SC Club for Growth PAC members have contributed approximately $750,000 to our endorsed candidates who won a total 38 of 54 races – a combined winning percentage of 70%! In 2008 alone, SC Club for Growth PAC received 172 contributions from South Carolinians like you. That kind of election success and fundraising prowess is certainly drawing the political class’ attention.
SC Club for Growth PAC also played a significant role in helping eight reform-minded challengers defeat RINO (Republican In Name Only) incumbents in the June 2008 primaries. Primary elections are critically important if we want to bring real change to a state with gerrymandered legislative districts designed to protect incumbents. Specifically, that means we need your contributions to research and produce TV ads, radio spots, and mail pieces in key 2010 primaries like the races for Governor, Treasurer, Comptroller General, and State House.
